It was an intense yet incredible day over the weekend when the BE Basketball U14 ALL-STARS, representing Houston Rockets, had two outstanding wins during the Jr. NBA conference games, beating the New Orleans Pelicans and the Memphis Grizzlies, respectively.

The Jr. NBA is the league’s premier youth basketball participation program for boys and girls ages 6 to 14 that teachesthe fundamentals and values of the game at the grassroots level- helping to grow and improve the youth basketball experience for all.  Jr. NBA International is a youth basketball initiative that provides development for youth players, coaches, teachers, and referees. As of 2024, Jr. NBA International programs, through the NBA regional offices, are active in over 170 countries, and we are proud to be part of this year’s league in Qatar along with the leagues in Europe, Africa, Latin America, Brazil, Mexico,  and the United Arab Emirates, among others.

The journey of the U14 ALL-STARS in the Jr. NBA League began with the exciting Jr. NBA Draft held on the 20th of April. This marked the start of a promising season ahead.  The competition kicked off with two conference matches, each conference featuring 15 teams. With a standing of 2-1, the Houston Rockets need just one more win to secure their spot in the playoffs. The team's performance so far has been commendable, and they are determined to continue their winning streak.

The U14 ALL-STARS are not resting on their laurels after their recent wins. They are gearing up for the next game, which will be held at the Multaqa (Education City Student Center), Multi-Purpose Court in two weeks. Under the guidance of Coach Ed, they are honing their physical and mental skills, further igniting the passion they already possess. Stay tuned for their next thrilling performance.
