Since our inception in 2015, we have had the privilege and the honor to work with some of the best basketball minds in the industry and across the world. We have been trusted by the NBA as the only independent basketball academy to manage and deliver two NBA Skill Camps alongside head coaches and veteran NBA players such as Dikembe Mutumbo & Marco Milic.
In 2017, BE Basketball housed the legendary 10-time Gold winning Team USA Coach, Don Showalter. Here, Coach Show (who’s raised players such as Jason Tatum) spent 3-hours supporting our players with the latest basketball skill development program directly from Team USA Basketball.
And in 2018, Coach Ben & Eric spent time with NBA & Global Skills trainer Ganon Baker in Greece & Lebanon to support GB at his high-level skills tour. Not only did our Founding members learn from this experience, Ganon was extremely appreciative of their knowledge & delivery of basketball skill-work at his camps where they led many drills and activities.
Our own basketball expertise & reputation has afforded us the wonderful opportunity to train NBA G League players, WNBA players, Division One NCAA players, and American professionals playing in the Qatar Basketball Men's League on a seasonal basis.

BE Founders
Ben Smith & Eric Gardow met in Doha, Qatar (2011) and quickly forged an extremely successful working relationship. They uncovered a mutual love for teaching the game of basketball while also discovering a shared purpose to impact peoples lives "one bounce at a time”.
By 2015, Ben and Eric had directed many very succesful basketball training programs across the Middle East and Asia and it was now time for their passionate vision to became their very own mission with a purpose - to BE the game of Basketball.
Today, BE Basketball has grown into Qatar's leading basketball training program with over 300 active members and remains dedicated to providing the Doha community with exceptional coaching, player development, and a passion for the game.

BE Founders

Overseas Global Basketball Camps
Over the past decade, BE Basketball has delivered camps in the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Kenya, and Vietnam, sharing strong basketball principles with young athletes from diverse cultures. Partnering with international schools and academies, we have reached hundreds of children, using basketball to inspire, motivate, and build community.
These camps focus on improving individual skills, fostering a love for the game, and developing leadership, discipline, teamwork, and resilience. Each program is tailored to participants’ needs, offering personalized training, competitive play, and mentorship from experienced coaches.
By embracing cultural diversity, BE Basketball’s overseas camps have not only enhanced players’ basketball abilities but also empowered them with confidence and life skills creating a global basketball community that transcends borders and inspires success on and off the court.
