BE Sports Coaches: A Summer of Renewal and Adventure

As the off-season arrives, our dedicated BE Sports coaches have taken a well-deserved break to recharge, reflect, and prepare for the exciting season ahead. Each coach has embraced the summer in unique ways, from adventures abroad to personal growth, ensuring they return rejuvenated and ready to inspire their athletes. Here’s a glimpse into what they’ve been up to during their summer break.

Coach Ed

Summer break has been a wonderful opportunity for Coach Ed to recharge and prepare for the upcoming season. He's been staying physically active with activities like hiking and swimming. For the last three weeks, he’s been in Thailand, where he also got engaged! Big changes are on the horizon for him both personally and professionally.

Coach Thomas

Coach Thomas spent the summer traveling to Rome and Madrid with two U13 players he used to coach. They had basketball tryouts with Real Madrid and Stella Azzurra, which were successful! They also attended a basketball tournament in Paris. Now in Qatar, Coach Thomas is eager to meet the new players and the organization, and he's excited to explore the country's sports infrastructure and development.

Coach V

This summer was all about family for Coach V. He returned to his hometown in Rio, where he enjoyed being surrounded by loved ones. While in such a beautiful place, he kept active by swimming in the ocean, hiking on Rio’s famous mountains, running with stunning views, and playing basketball at local parks he frequented in his youth. He's looking forward to seeing the kids who joined last year grow and to meeting many new players.

Coach Andreas

Coach Andreas has been busy planning and programming classes focused on SAQ (Speed, Agility, Quickness), S&C (Strength and Conditioning), and Mobility. He’s also working towards earning a Sports Nutrition Certification.

Coach Julia

After a long season, Coach Julia took a well-deserved rest and reset in Sri Lanka, spending two weeks full of adventure. She then returned to her home country, Slovakia, to visit family and enjoy the European summer. While there, she immersed herself in nature, relished the weather, and also took some time to study and prepare for the upcoming season. She’s excited to get back to coaching soon!

Coach BenBE Sports CEO & Co-Founder spent his time traveling to the US before a pit-stop in the UK to visit his family. But before that he drove from Heathrow to Loughborough to see Alyson, our Operations Manager who was celebrating her son's Master's Degree. The close friends and colleagues hadn't seen each other for over 4 years in person, even though they talk every day while managing the club! So this reunion was much more than just a work catchup!

As our BE Sports coaches return from their enriching summer experiences, they bring with them renewed energy, fresh insights, and a deepened passion for the game. With their batteries recharged and new skills honed, they are more than ready to take on the new season. We look forward to the incredible journey ahead, knowing our athletes are in the best hands. Here's to an amazing season full of growth, learning, and success!
