Excitement is in the air as the BE BASKETBALL boys and girls teams have both advanced to the Jr. NBA Western Conference Semi-Finals! This milestone marks a historic achievement, being the first time in Jr. NBA Qatar history that both teams from the same club have reached the semi-finals. This, in and of itself is already a big victory for BE Basketball teams and the players.
Led by Coach Julia, the driving force behind girls' at BE Basketball, the team is set to take on the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference semi-final on May 31st at 2:30 PM. Their remarkable journey to the semi-finals is a testament to their skill, teamwork, and unwavering determination. Through tailored training and mentorship, the BE Basketball girls’ program fosters not just athletic prowess, but also leadership qualities, ensuring these young athletes excel both on and off the court.
The boys' team, playing under the banner of the Houston Rockets, has shown remarkable progress throughout the season. Despite a challenging start, they have improved game by game, culminating in an impressive 3-1 scorecard. Their dedication and hard work are paying off, and they're ready to face the Sacramento Kings on June 1st at 1 PM. Basketball Director, Coach Ed, is optimistic and determined, stating, "Whoever comes against us, we will fight and do our best to win."
