BE BASKETBALL development program (7 - 16 years)
Our very successful Development Program at BE Basketball is for the beginner and intermediate level players who require specific fundamental skills-trainings.
This program is designed to provide children and young people the opportunity to learn new basketball skills in a fun and instructional environment while utilizing all of the BE Basketball professional training equipment and methodology. Athletes are divided by age and ability, and can attend 1 or 2 days per week at a convenient location across Doha (see below).
Each session combines offensive development, skill stations, shooting mechanics, functional movements, conditioning and other fundamental skill components. The program is suitable for any player looking to improve their overall game and enjoyment playing basketball. This unique class is tailored to the majority of our athletes and focuses on Triple Threat (passing/shooting/dribbling) fundamentals in a fun yet structured format.

A business and sports specialist; Ben's passion and strengths include establishing successful international sports programs, developing training systems to improve player performance and building strong company brands.
ERIC GARDOW (1968-2019) founded BE BASKETBALL alongside Coach Ben Smith in 2015 through a shared love for inspiring others. Eric was a true leader who inspired others through education, motivation and mentorship. Life blessed us all at BE BASKETBALL during our time with Eric as he shared multiple lessons with us, on and off the court.

COACH ED - BASKETBALL DIRECTOR & HEAD COACH
Coach Edgars is our Basketball Program Director & Head Coach from Latvia who brings a very European way of playing the game. A fluent English, Latvian & Spanish speaker his basketball education was formed mainly in Spain as he worked with young people of all ages including professional teams at the top.
COACH V - BASKETBALL COORDINATOR & HEAD COACH
Vitor Guarino from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is Qatar's only "I'M POSSIBLE" certified trainer (http://possibletraining.com). He is our trusted Program Coordinator & Head Coach. Also a Gold License USA Basketball coach, Vitor brings of lot of energy and detail to our program. Coach V loves how the game of basketball helps him positively influence people across the world.
COACH JULIA - HEAD of GIRLS BASKETBALL
Julia Pazicka is a basketball fundamentals enthusiast! A former Slovakian professional basketball player, Coach J loves traveling the world with basketball working with children and young people of all ages and abilities. Recently a head coach at one of China's biggest sports academies in Beijing and assistant head coach of Slovakian Pro Women's Team Piestany. She is also the Head Coach for the University of Doha Womens team and current League Champion & Coach of the Year!

COACH BENNY - SOCCER DIRECTOR & HEAD COACH
Paul Benion is from Manchester, England. He has a strong passion and commitment to growing the game of soccer across Qatar & the Middle East region. In his 6 years in Doha, Coach Benny has built the biggest girls-soccer only program and now strives to help foster a development and competition tier of Boys football across all our international school partners. He has also worked at DME Sports Academy, Florida supporting players from all over the world with their soccer understanding.
COACH ANDREAS - SOCCER HEAD COACH
Andreas Jackson, from Atlanta, USA has joined BE Soccer from our affiliated partners at DME Academy, Florida. He has played Division 1 soccer, as well as earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.Andreas worked with DME Soccer Academy supporting players from all over the world as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist directly associated with the soccer program. He helped to create sport specific systems for the development of young athletes, and he aims to continue the same first-class US soccer coaching experience for the community at BE Soccer.
